Jazz Ensemble 1 won their AAAA division at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival on February 24.

Jazz Ensemble 1 did a great job at Hot Java Cool Jazz February 9th! Way to go!

JAZZ ENSEMBLE 1 won the AAAA/AAA division and Sweepstakes at the Vikikng Jazz Festival (Feb. 2). JAZZ ENSEMBLE 2 took second place in the A/AA division.

Jazz Ensemble 1 won the AAAA division and Sweepstakes at the Clark College Jazz Festival (Jan. 27) Andrew J. received an OUTSTANDING SOLOIST award!

Pep Band Party on Sept. 15th was a lot of fun. We went to Lynnwood Bowl and Skate after the game and had a great time. Click here for pictures from the event.

The MTHS Pep Band party on Sept. 7th was a great time for everyone. We ate pizza, played games, got to know each other better and rehearsed music. Sections also created "section calls" and "section dances" that they will teach those few students who missed the party!

NSO Offers Experience-of-a-Lifetime for Exceptional Student Musicians
Application Deadline: January 7, 2010
The National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute is a 4-week program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. The program is designed for the very best student musicians – those considering music as a career! Five state finalists from Washington will be forwarded to the Kennedy Center for consideration. One musician from most states will be selected to participate on scholarship for the 2010 Institute. To apply, please download an application at http://www.artsedwashington.com/Programs/NSO.html and submit it to ArtsEd Washington by January 7 .
