Music Boosters provide an important role in assisting Directors at Mountlake Terrace High School to deliver the best possible music education to every student in the program.
Who are the MTHS Music Boosters? We are primarily proud parents of music students at Mountlake Terrace High School in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. Music Boosters is a non-profit 50(c)3 organization governed by a Board of Directors and Members-at-Large. The board regularly meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:30PM in the school library. The Music Boosters board coordinates the activities of adult volunteers to help with organizing student uniforms, planning and chaperoning trips, assisting with the regional Jazz Symposium and school concerts as well as hosting “Night on the Terrace”, an annual gala fundraiser for the music department.
Music Boosters also helps with special projects in the classroom, organizing the music library, mailing notices, and soliciting and planning unique performance opportunities. Music Boosters help promote events and student accomplishments. We encourage MTHS parents, students, staff and local community members to support the music program through concert and events participation.
In addition, Music Boosters assists in expediting communications between music department activities and parents. Along with this website, Music Boosters maintain a Hotline to provide the latest information on program and trip activities (425-670-7311 ext. 2722).
The MTHS music program continues to grow and improve, not only through dedicated students and excellent directors, but also with more and better instruments, equipment, and sheet music from funds raised by Music Boosters efforts.
